***********English***********
Spatial development refers to the distribution of population and activities in a given territory and the linkages between them in terms of relations and land use. Under the conditions of globalisation and technological transformation, the integration of local and regional economies into competitive markets has produced considerable spatial challenges distributed unevenly between agglomerations, medium cities, towns and rural areas in both, developed and developing countries.
We are concerned in the production of knowledge related with the current demographic, environmental, social and institutional challenges affecting the spatial development of regions and cities worldwide. The scope of spatial planning to cope with these challenges differs greatly from one country to another.
