Description

The SuperNova single crystal diffraction instrument (Rigaku Oxford Diffraction) is equipped with two micro focus X-ray sources. Both, copper and molybdenum X-ray sources are available. Thus, the most adequate radiation for heavy or light atom containing small molecules can be applied at the same sample without remounting, enabling a fast and most suitable diffraction. The self-optimizing S2 CCD detector provides a combination of high intensity, fast, and large active area detection permitting rapid data collection. The installed Oxford Cryostream Cooler facilitates low temperature experiments (100 K) in a superior laminar flow syste, meaning virtually zero risk of icing.
