Water Cannon (Wasserlanzenbläser)

Basic Information

Name: Water Cannon (Wasserlanzenbläser)
Facility: Chair for Energy Process Engineering (EVT)
Partner: Technische Universität Dresden (TUD)

Short Description

In the test facility the online-cleaning of steam generator walls using a water jet can be simulated in the pilot plant scale.

Description

In the test facility the online-cleaning of steam generator walls using a water jet can be simulated in the pilot plant scale. The test surface (e.g. a membrane wall segment) is heated up by a hot exhaust from the gas burner and impinged by a water jet from the water lance. The thermal shock and the impact of the water jet on the deposit layers are investigated. The temperature of the test surface, the water flow and pressure, the form of the water jet and the blowing time are adjustable. The heating-blowing cycles can be repeated automatically.
