High precission X-ray powder diffraction system is equipped with two horizontally mounted goniometers and dedicated for measurements in Transmission / Debye-Scherrer geometry. Long-focus X-ray tube and Ge-curved monochromator assured collimated pure Cu-K_α1 radiation.

First goniometer is equipped with flat-bed sample holder and background free MYTHEN^® detector from DECTRIS. Also the automatic sample changer for max 15 samples is available. The system is dedicated for routine PXRD measurements mostly for qualitative phase analysis.

On the second goniometer, the high precision goniometer head for capillary measurement is mounted. The signal is registered by 0D-gas filled detector. The instrument is mostly used for high-resolution and high-quality PXRD measurements in transmission geometry, with further refinement by Rietveld method. Additionally the diffractometer is equipped with high-temperature oven (25°C – 1000°C) and nitrogen cryojet (-173°C – 25°C) for capillary measurements.
