Die industrielle Produktion stellt einen bedeutenden Wirtschaftszeig in Deutschland dar. Neben technologischen Entwicklungen kommt es insbesondere auf die intelligente Planung und Steuerung der Wertschöpfungsprozesse an. Mit einem interdisziplinären Team aus Wirtschaftsingenieuren und -mathematikern sowie Betriebs- und Verkehrswirten arbeiten wir auf den Feldern Operations Management, Operations Research und Car Business Management.

Im Bereich des Operations Management besteht unser Hauptinteresse in Forschung, Lehre und Transfer darin, Produktions- und Logistiksysteme zu planen, zu gestalten und zu steuern. Hiermit eng verwoben ist der Bereich des Operations Research, der in besonderem Maße auf mathematische Analysen und Methoden setzt, um vielfältige betriebswirtschaftliche Problemstellungen zu lösen. Im Mittelpunkt des Bereichs Car Business Management stehen sämtliche Fragestellungen, die den Handel mit Automobilen betreffen.

Industrial production represents a significant economic sector in Germany. Besides technological developments, sophisticated planning and control systems of production processes are particularly important. At the Chair of Industrial Management economic and mathematical analysis and methods are being used and developed in order to design production processes efficiently and effectively.

In the area of Operations Management, we focus on planning, designing and coordinate production and logisitcs systems in research, teaching and transfer. Closely linked with this is the field of Operations Research, which relys on mathematical analysis and methods in order to solve various practical problems. The area of Car Business Management focusses on all problems related to the trade with cars.
