By using gas chromatography at the institute the chromatograph can be coupled with a mass spectrometry for the analysis of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and phenols. It is also possible to analyze BTEX (benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and xylene), MTBE (methyl tert-butyl ether) and chlorinated hydrocarbons by gas chromatography coupled with a FID/ECD-detector.
