Expertise

The LMF offers a collection of state-of-the-art light microscopy equipment. We provide training and full technical support for all the instruments along with expert advice in designing imaging experiments and basic image data processing.

The facility currently comprises more than twenty different systems ranging from simple fluorescent video to high-resolution confocal microscopes. Sophisticated image processing can be accomplished on high-end graphics machines using specialized software packages.

The LMF is member and actively contributes to the Biopolis Dresden Imaging Platform (BioDIP).
BioDIP provides open access to state-of-the-art light and electron microscopy equipment as well as bioimage analysis support. The multitude of equipment thereby offered at the campus represents a comprehensive range of current imaging technologies.

How to become a user?

Please get in touch with us using imaging@biotec.tu-dresden.de and describe your project. Considering this information we will help you finding the optimal microscope technique/system for your project.
