Standort: | beamline P06 of PETRA III at DESY in Hamburg |
Beschreibung
The hard x-ray scanning is located at beamline P06 of the synchrotron radiation source PETRA III at DESY in Hamburg. It can generate sub-100 nm x-ray beams in the energy range between 6 and 30 keV. Various scanning modes are possible, including tomographic scans. The following x-ray analytical techniques can be used as contrast mechanism:
- x-ray fluorescence: determine element distribution
- x-ray absorption: determine chemical state of given element as a function of position
- small-angle x-ray scattering (SAXS): determine local mesoscopic structure
- wide-angle x-ray scattering (WAXS): determine local atomic structure, in particular of poly and nano-crystalline materials
- coherent x-ray diffraction imaging
Starting 2012, the instrument will be available through the HASYLAB user system (cf. http://hasylab.desy.de). User support will be given.
A detailed description can be found in C. Schroer, et al., Nucl. Instrum. Meth. A, 616(2-3), 93 (2010).
