Histological stainings: Routinely we stain paraffin sections with hematoxylin-eosin (HE) or Giemsa, but upon request also other stainings such as  modified Goldner, Azan, acid fuchsin orange G (AFOG) or Mallory can be performed (Fig. 1). Technovit sections are stained with toluidine blue + borax (Fig. 2).
