Expertise

The DIGS-BB is a graduate school by the Technische Universität Dresden dedicated to first-class research and doctoral training. The DIGS-BB hosts about 100 active PhD students at any time. Our PhD students and faculty are highly international and diverse. They represent over 60 nationalities, and different educational scientific backgrounds. About 15 new PhD students are admitted each year in spring and fall. The maximum duration of the thesis is 4 years.

We foster critical thinking, creativity and early independence. Our mission is to promote excellence in science by inspiring our talented PhD students to become innovative research leaders. Our curriculum goes beyond traditional scientific training to support both scientific and personal development.

The DIGS-BB is part of the well-established Dresden International PhD Program . Under which there are two powerful partners The DIGS-BB and the International Max Planck Research School for Cell, Developmental and Systems Biology.
