Basic Information
Name: | Exhaust Chassis Dynamometer
Manufacturer: | Froude Cousine / Horiba
Facility: | Chair of Combustion Engines and Power Train Systems (VAS)
Partner: | Technische Universität Dresden (TUD) |
Short Description
air-conditioned single-axle chassis dynamometer with airstream blower
Description
air-conditioned single-axle chassis dynamometer with airstream blower
The chassis dynamometer fo the Chair of combustion engines and powertrain systems offers a variety of possible uses. On the one hand, vehicle emissions can be examined in legally specified driving cycles under reproducible environmental conditions. Based on the chair's own automation software, individual cycles or driving profiles can also be implemented. Because the chassis dynamometer is positioned in a fully insulated climate chamber, different temperature conditions can be analyzed.
roll diameter / width | 48" (1219mm) / 800mm |
max. torque / force | 1830Nm / 3000N (at 0-120km/h) |
max. power | 100kW (120-200km/h) |
max. velocity | 230km/h (simulation of airstream up to 140km/h) |
vehicle mass | 900-2700kg |
operating modes | road load, speed setting, force or torque setting, individual driving cycles |
climate chamber | fully insulated climate chamber with ceiling evaporator |
Operating range cooling capacity | -20 - +55°C at approx. 3K/min; humidity regulation 30-85% rel.; 80000m³/h recirculated air with up to 3000m³/h fresh air |
The exhaust gas measuring system based on the principle of Constant Volume Sampling (CVS) in combination with measuring bags allows certification-related emission measurements. In addition to the analysis of the regulated and non-regulated gaseous exhaust gas components, the solid components can also be examined with regard to their number and size distribution.
undiluted analyzers | CO, CO2, HC |
diluted analyzers | CO, CO2, T.HC, NOX, CH4 |
bags and max. measuring time | up to 6 with 1200s each |
further measurement technology | EEPS (Engine ExhaustParticleSizer), PEMS (Portable Emission Measurement System), HoribaMEXA PMU 7000 particle mass determination, CPC (CondensationParticleCounter), FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer) |
