Expertise
Welcome to the Chair for Organic Devices at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the TU Dresden. This is a new professorship created in mid-2014 within the Cluster of Excellence cfaed – “Center for Advancing Electronics Dresden”, headed by Prof. Stefan Mannsfeld.
The focus of the chair’s research activities are the name-giving “organic devices” in which soft plastic materials are employed to create functional electronic devices and circuits. Our research covers various topics, ranging from fundamental studies of charge transport in soft materials, engineered processing of organic semiconductor materials to control and tune morphologies for maximum electrical performance, to innovative device concepts for low and high-frequency applications such as sensors and integrated systems.
